Numeracy

  Includes mass, length, area, volume, time, 2D & 3D shape, angle & spatial reasoning, position & co-ordinate geometry, transformation & symmetry, organising & interpreting data, probability, patterns, relationships & reasoning, formulae & equations, functions & graphs. Literacy

• Vocabulary, Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation = Words Rock!
  Covers: building blocks of words (how word parts fit together in different word contexts); language knowledge, including idioms, clichés, word roots, borrowings from other languages, archaic expressions, alliteration, connectives, synonyms, antonyms, homophones, onomatopoeia, collective nouns, metaphors, similes, puns, tautology, irony and hyperbole; grammar and punctuation skills (essential frameworks of all written English) – to produce clear, concise, correct and meaningful texts.

Computer Skills

  Keyboarding skills are developed using Home Row paths, vertical keypaths and common English letter strings; colour-coded keyboard to highlight finger patterns; animated demos for new keys; animated visual prompts in lessons and drills strengthen muscle memory and finger movement patterns.

The Community Software Plan

Working together for the future of our children
The Community Software Plan (CSP) enables EdAlive to offer school families special bulk-buy prices!

CSP is a partnership between schools, teachers, families and EdAlive to give children access to EdAlive software for school and home use. CSP operates like a school book club – allowing parents to to purchase a range of EdAlive titles at reduced prices! In addition, participating schools may receive a free Site Licence for the featured product.

CSP and EdAlive support teaching objectives to raise achievement levels in numeracy and literacy and equip students with skills for lifelong learning. Implementing CSP will boost the computer-to-child ratio by harnessing the power of students’ home computers. CSP makes high-quality resources accessible – part of EdAlive’s mission – every chance for every child!
