How to use BRAINtastic! in your school

The BRAINtastic! system enables teachers to choose content specifically targeted for the needs of individual children regardless of the developmental age, stage, or ability.

The BRAINtastic! content modules for each subject area genuinely cover the needs of children from 4 –14 year old with significant scope for extension at the upper end.

Each child using BRAINtastic! has their own user account that can be protected by password and can work on content selected specifically for them by the teacher.

With a little thought and careful selection of the appropriate BRAINtastic! content modules teachers can have children working through carefully sequenced questions that will address each child’s needs.

Teachers should familiarise themselves with the advanced features of BRAINtastic! by reading the BRAINtastic! Help file. In particular they should know how to:

• Access the Administration section of BRAINtastic!
• Select content
• Lock Content
• Change the Work/Play Ratio
• Review each child’s work

Client/Server network edition
Schools may purchase a Client/Server version of the BRAINtastic software that allows the central storage of the children’s records on one central computer. With this system children can log on to BRAINtastic! from any computer on the school’s network and access their BRAINtastic! account. This powerful arrangement allows greatly simplified administration.
