BRAINtastic! - FAQ
How does BRAINtastic! work? If I buy more than one BRAINtastic! product, what happens?
Each BRAINtastic! title is designed to work with every other one. Each CD contains Central Control which ‘runs’ all the educational content and games. When more than one BRAINtastic! product is installed on a computer they will all be accessed from one location – the BRAINtastic! folder.
Once a BRAINtastic! product is installed you will see an icon on your desktop. When this icon is clicked on, BRAINtastic! Central Control opens all installed content and games in a single program. A user then logs on and content is chosen to work on. This can be a combination of content from any installed BRAINtastic! title, content from a single BRAINtastic! title, or even individual questions – it is fully customisable.
Parents and teachers can use the Admin section to set how many questions are required to be answered correctly. Once the user has correctly completed the set number of questions, the chosen game will open and the user will be able to play their Reward Game for a few minutes. When the time is up the game will be saved and the user can choose to either finish their BRAINtastic! session or complete more questions for more Reward Game time.
As time goes on, more games will be available to download online and more educational content will be available from EdAlive. Both of these will add directly to the existing BRAINtastic! folder and will be accessible alongside the other games and content.
