Versions for different countries

Cultures and educational conventions vary from country to country. To cater for these variations we have created differing versions of our products for the major country groups. When selecting your software choose the variation that best fits your needs.

Choose according to your culture

If you are an American living in Singapore then choose the US version but if your child attends the British International school in Singapore then you might choose the version for the UK and so on.

Language variation

In Australia and England a car has a boot and an elephant a trunk. In the USA a car has a trunk and babies were diapers not nappies. Call someone an ass in the UK and it means something entirely different to the USA.

Spelling variations

Colour and color, zed and zee, realisation and realization .

Measurement variations

Australia and New Zealand: Travel in km/h, measure distance in metres, buy petrol in litres and pay in dollars and cents.

UK: Travel in mph, measure distance in metres, buy petrol in litres and pay in pounds and pence.

Europe: Travel in km/h, measure distance in metres, buy petrol in litres and pay in euros and cents.

USA: Travel in mph, measure distance in metres and yards, buy petrol in gallons and pay in dollars and cents.

Curriculum variations

Each country has its own curriculum and way of expressing educational concepts. However, the underlying developmental psychology that determines the way in which children learn. Therefore the order in which concepts are introduced is the same the world over. EdAlive titles are correlated with the curricular from most of the major English speaking nations.
