Structural Overview
BRAINtastic is a modular learning system consisting of three content series: Maths, Word Skills and Reading Success
Please select your content:
- Each content series consists of three to six titles, either numbered (e.g. ONE to SIX) or named for their suitability (e.g. Middle Primary).
- Each title (the unit of purchase) consists of one or two educational content modules (e.g. the Maths Middle Primary title contains two educational content modules, Middle Primary 1 and Middle Primary 2)
- Each educational content module consists of four to ten carefully sequenced levels.
- Each progress level can be divided into one to ten learning area categories when selecting content, although levels and categories are best represented graphically in a grid.
- Learning area categories vary depending on the content series and level of progress (e.g. Word Skills One has four learning area categories: (preparatory activities; spelling patterns and rules; vocabulary; and grammar and punctuation).
- Individual activities of which there are over 17,000 in the system.
The unit of purchase is a ‘title’ and each title purchased can stand alone as an educational game. Each subsequent title purchased and installed integrates seamlessly with those already installed, simply expanding the content and age range of the system – when the user next logs in, the new content is automatically available.
Each content series features 3 or 4 Reward Games all of which are supplied with each title installed from that series.
