EdAlive Online Learning: Acceptable Use Policy ​

(for Teachers and Parents/Guardians)

As a teacher or parent/guardian, you play a key role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment for children on EdAlive Online Learning web apps. Please follow these guidelines to help us maintain a positive experience for everyone. 

1. Protect Student Privacy and Security 

  • Safeguard all student account credentials. Do not share your Teacher or Parent account password except when necessary for account setup and recovery. 
  • Do not share, post, or publish student data outside of secure school or home environments. 
  • If you are in a school environment ensure that the use of student data is in accordance with the relevant school and departmental policies. 
  • Promptly report any data privacy or security incidents to EdAlive and your school’s IT contact. 

2. Ensure Appropriate Use

  • Safeguard all student account credentials. Do not share your Teacher or Parent account password except when necessary for account setup and recovery. 
  • Do not share, post, or publish student data outside of secure school or home environments. 
  • If you are in a school environment ensure that the use of student data is in accordance with the relevant school and departmental policies. 
  • Promptly report any data privacy or security incidents to EdAlive and your school’s IT contact. 

3. Promote Respectful Behaviour

  • Encourage students to interact respectfully and kindly with others on the platform. 
  • Model positive digital citizenship and address any instances of inappropriate language or behaviour. 

4. Maintain a Safe Online Environment

  • Monitor student activity according to school or family policies. 
  • Ensure that any communication between students, and between students and teachers, remains appropriate and constructive. 
  • The EdAlive Online Learning services do allow for creation of usernames for students. It is important that when doing so that care is taken to ensure that the usernames, if displayed either to the student or to a wider context do not cause offence. 
  • Do not upload or transmit any content that is abusive, offensive, or violates copyright laws. 

5. Communication

  • Respond promptly to student questions and concerns regarding the EdAlive platform. 
  • Report technical issues, suspected breaches or any child safety concerns to EdAlive as soon as possible by emailing support@edalive.com. 

6. Uphold Platform Integrity

  • Do not attempt to bypass, disable, or tamper with EdAlive systems, security, or accounts. 
  • Do not permit or encourage cheating, plagiarism, or dishonest conduct in student work. 

7. Keep Information Up to Date

  • Keep personal and student information accurate so EdAlive can provide proper support. 
  • Inform your school and EdAlive of any changes in supervision or account ownership as necessary. 

By following these guidelines, you help make EdAlive Online Learning a safe, supportive, and enriching place for every child. Thank you for your responsibility and care.
