If you’re experiencing technical issues with any of the EdAlive apps, one of the most helpful things you can do is capture what’s happening in the browser Console when the problem occurs and to send us your machine specs. This helps our tech team quickly identify and fix issues.
Take photos or screenshots of what you find
So that we can see the information displayed in the Console and the System Specifications, either take a screenshot of each (best) or photos of the screens and email them to us at support@edalive.com.
How the Console helps
The Console logs technical details behind the scenes. When errors happen (like buttons not working or content not loading), the Console often shows messages that explain why.
How to open the Console
On Windows:
- Press F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I and then press the Console tab while using the app in your browser.
On Mac:
- Press Command + Option + I and then press the Console tab while in the browser.

On iPad:
- Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced
- Toggle Web Inspector ON
- Connect your iPad to a Mac with Safari, then inspect using Safari’s Develop menu.
Once the Console is open, try using the app again and take:
- Screenshots of the Console while the issue is occurring (best)
- Photos of the screen if screenshots aren’t possible (still helpful)
How to find your device specs
When reporting an issue, it also helps to tell us:
- Your device type and model
- Your operating system (e.g., Windows 11, macOS Ventura)
- Your browser name and version (e.g., Chrome 124)
You can usually find this information in:
- Settings > About on Windows or macOS
- Browser > Help > About to check the browser version
Once the Device Specs are viewable take:
- Screenshots of the Console while the issue is occurring (best)
- Photos of the screen if screenshots aren’t possible (still helpful)
