To give students a sense of progress we have just added the Recent Spellings display panel to the Home page. This display is a simple forerunner of a much more detailed capacity that will be added in time to give students detailed information concerning the words they have spelled correctly, have mastered, have spelled incorrectly or are about to be presented with.
Behind the scenes, Spelling Force is recording and retaining each response to each word, by each student. This means that in the future, we will be able to produce detailed reports for teachers and students that give unparalleled feedback on student progress.
Our extensive analysis of competing spelling systems indicates that this approach of linking students, words and levels and then retaining the results is unique. It is what makes the Automated system possible and what makes reports like “Recent Spellings” work.
